Corporate Semantic Web collaborates with University of Waikato in a project on "User Guided Semantic Enrichment". The project is partially funded by the BMBF Unternehmen Region Innoprofile, BMBF Internationales Büro and the Royal Society of New Zealand.
In this project we study the semantic annotation and semantic content enrichment processes in order to improve usability and understandability of semantic annotation tools and methods. This project is a combination of two key approaches - Semantic Web research and user-centered information system design. It uses validated and accepted methodologies from Human Computer Interaction and information system design to evaluate the usability of semantic annotation and editing tools in selected use cases (e.g. tourist information systems).
This work has been partially supported by the InnoProfile-Corporate Semantic Web project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the BMBF Innovation Initiative for the New German Länder - Entrepreneurial Regions.
